Virtual Reality

Happy birthday Mr Wright!

Marking the 150th anniversary of the American architect’s birth on June 8, 1867, public sites across the United States are celebrating Wright’s 150th birthday in a variety of creative ways, from dinners and concerts to late-night tours and special lectures, and a a major exhibition will take place in September at MOMA.

360 Panoramas

Here at Hooked on The Past I want to join the celebration through virtual visits to those buildings that unfortunately can not be visited in any other way.

Below are some 360 images of some of the buildings I have modeled so far (Click on the image to go to the interactive version):

Trinity chapel by Frank Lloyd Wright

Gertrude and Pauson house by Frank Lloyd Wright

Larkin Administration Building by Frank Lloyd Wright

Larkin Building in Virtual Reality

After some month of very hard work, I am very excited to announce an application that allows you to visit the Larkin building through virtual reality.

The app is free and very cool! Now you can dive into this wonderful building thanks to the magic of technology here

Isostopy is a creative developer of virtual reality solutions located in Madrid, Spain and they have been kind enough to create this great application to visit the Larkin Administration Building based on my model.

For the moment the app is only in Google Play but very soon it will be also in Apple Store

The application is in beta, since my model does not yet have enough detail in some areas of the building, such as the entrance, to provide a more complete experience, but in the coming months we will increase the detail of the 360 images and we will add new ones as the exterior of the building.

I hope you like it!
